The Implementation

Discovery Phase: DCT engaged in discovery calls, process mapping, solution designs, and ar- chitectural diagrams to fully understand and plan the implementation approach tailored to Abacus’ needs.
Technical Operation Phase: Data engineers set up data ingestion and SQL querying process-es, while distribution engineers developed APIs, batches, and data extracts for efficient distribution and analysis.
Product Engineering Phase: A DCT Data Archi- tect designed an enterprise product architecture, and the SWAT team enhanced the customer ex- perience downstream.

The Solution

Centers of Excellence (CoE): DCT established multiple CoEs to support various technical and business functions, ensuring all operations aligned with Abacus’ standards and needs.
Secure Offshore Infrastructure: DCT set up a secure Offshore Delivery Centre (ODC) in Pune, India, which complied with ISO 27001:2022, SOC2 TYPE2, and HITRUST standards, meeting all of Abacus’ security and compliance requirements.
Integration and Culture Adaptation: DCT not only integrated Abacus’ operational processes but also the company culture within the new entity.

Milestones and Growth

Captive Center to Hybrid Model Transition: After two years, DCT successfully transitioned the op- erations to the newly created Abacus India entity, transferring all the recruited employees. Post-tran- sition, DCT continues to support Abacus on a hy- brid model, offering flexible burst capacities and additional support as needed. This included orga- nizing bootcamps and providing UI/UX support to maintain service quality and enhance the product development lifecycle.
Continued Partnership: The relationship with Abacus has evolved beyond a traditional GCC model. DCT now engages in diverse collaborative and support activities, enabling Abacus to flexibly manage workload peaks and continue innovating without the operational overhead of maintaining a full-scale continuous team.
